How to hack a switch
Welcome to this guide on how you can install CFW on your switch.This guide is completely beginner-friendly and will tell you everything you need to know.

You can use this to install Homebrew apps on your Switch or install games for free.
A guide on how to install games will be published later on.
"Can I get banned for doing this"?
Answer: No.
When you know what you are doing and you are careful you won't get banned. When you don't know what you're doing and you're not careful, yes, you can get banned.
I personally have had CFW on my switch for over five months, and I'm still not banned.
So, how do I not get banned?
Personally, I would always advise you to turn off your WiFi when in CFW. You don't need it, it can only higher the chance of getting banned.
Why don't you WiFi while in CFW?
Because there is no way to go online in a hacked game. If that's what you're here for, now you know you will never be able to go online with a hacked game. Not because it would ban you, but because it is simply not possible. If you try to go online while in CFW in a hacked game, it will always pop up an error. So, keep that in mind
One more thing, you also will not be able to load up hacked games once in OFW (Original Firmware) again. You will always have to be in CFW to load up hacked games.
Getting started
What you will need
- A Nintendo Switch
- Either an RCM Jig or a tin foil
- A USB to USB-C cable (you can use the one from your Switch Pro controller if you have one)
- A micro-sd card
- A payload loader. For Windows: TegraRCMSmash. For Mac: https://elijahzawesome.github.io/web-cfw-loader/ (Chrome Only!)
For every other recommended item, go to the 'Items' page, I have gathered a lot of cheap items from Amazon, and you could help me with using my affiliate links.
All you need to do is download these files and this file onto your SD card and download this file on your laptop and boot your Switch up into RCM mode.
How to boot your Switch in RCM mode:
0. Completely turn off your Switch (and WiFi) and wait for 5-10 seconds. Insert your SD card with the necessary files.
1. Insert your jig on the right-hand side where you normally put your right controller or watch this video on how to use a tin foil.
2. Hold down the volume button, while holding it down also hold down the power button. You can release after two seconds or so.
3. Now insert your USB to USB type C cable (USB in your computer/laptop and USB-C in your Switch).\
4. Go to your payload loader and load your payload. For a short video on how to do this on Windows click here. For Mac, just go to the site on Chrome, select your payload and hit "Deliver Payload"
5. You can now remove your USB cable and your tin foil / rcm jig. You are now in Custom Firmware!
3. Now insert your USB to USB type C cable (USB in your computer/laptop and USB-C in your Switch).\
